Biographical Data
Cameron Boone is a Texas state certified (TX-1338682-G) appraiser and senior real estate consultant with Lewis Realty Advisors in Houston, Harris County, Texas. Mr. Boone is a native Houstonian. He attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. He has completed postgraduate coursework in business and history at the University of Houston – Clear Lake and Baylor University, respectively.
Employment
While an undergraduate student, Mr. Boone interned for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in Washington, D.C. As a graduate student, Mr. Boone interned at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston where he worked in the Information Resources Directorate.
Scope of Professional Assignments
Mr. Boone’s consulting and appraising assignments have included work on both improved and unimproved real property throughout Texas and Louisiana. His assignments have included expert witness testimony and appraisal and consulting analysis of sales, cost, and income for commercial, residential, industrial and special-use properties. His experience spans a variety of property types including vacant land, residential subdivisions, office buildings, hotels, single family residential, commercial office, mixed-use, neighborhood and regional shopping centers, television studios, ranches, timber land, subdivisions, conservancies, easements, and industrial facilities.
Mr. Boone has valued properties for numerous purposes, including litigation, condemnation, and estate tax planning. Specific assignments include researching the impact of construction defects on industrial property, quantifying diminution in value to do negative stigma and environmental contamination, and evaluating rural property in transition to large acre subdivision development. He has valued multiple assets in real estate portfolios for estate planning and ad valorem tax litigation. He has consulted and appraised real property for condemning authorities and landowners. Additionally, Mr. Boone has performed appraisal review assignments for parcels in the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) North Corridor. He is co-author of “Revisiting the Valuation of Timberland – Terminology, Methods, and Case Studies,” published in the Appraisal Journal (Summer, 2011).
